Recap: APPLE SPECIAL EVENT
This Apple event gave us a head start on the improvements over the older Macs, before the day of Halloween comes by. Tim Cook gave us the heads up on the surpassing iPad sales, and the initial improvements Apple Stores had done. Angela Ahrendts talks about renovations over the older Apple Stores opened prior to 2014, and adding more 5K video displays in large size, replacing the Genius Bar with square stools. All of the indivisible Apple products, from the MacBook Air, iPad Pro, Mac mini, and the Apple Pencil had received themselves a redesign, and a recycled aluminum housing.
The pristine iPad Pro, has conferred to have the 📱 X characteristics. The Lightning port has been terminated and replaced with usb-c like a MacBook Pro. The iPad Pro no longer has the sides domed, just flat sides inspired by the 1st iPad. The iPad Pro has been the best selling “computer” from its leading PCs. There’s no home button and a TrueDepth camera like an 📱 X. The A12X Bionic is indeed strong for the performance alongside its promotion display. There’s lots of magnets encrusted in the housing, allowing many magnetic accessories including an Apple Pencil to stick to the iPad Pro and charge it wirelessly. No need for a Smart connector!
For the thin MacBook Air, it got its facelift after a few years. It’s in gold, silver and space gray as its colors. It now has Touch ID because the Apple t2 Secure Enclave adds an additional protective layer over your Macs data. Just like the 2016 and above MacBook Pro, you can pay 💰 with Apple Pay and unlock it. The next generation force touch trackpad has more force sensors and more haptic feedback than before. For its performance, it features an 8th gen intel core i5 processor, intel uhd graphics and up to 16gb in memory. SSDS can have up to 1 and a half in terabytes. There’s lots of thunderbolt 3 ports on the MacBook Air. The thickness is only 0.61 inches, and weighs 2.75 pounds.
Onwards to the Mac mini, now in both silver and space gray. Memory can go up to 64GB, and processors come in an ascending four to six cores. As it’s 5 times much faster than the previous generation, it can also handle pro apps. The Apple T2 Secure Enclave adds extraordinary security barriers into this new Mac mini. There’s 4 thunderbolt 3 ports, 2 USB ports, hdmi, and rapid Ethernet up to 10Gbps. All of the housing is the same size, just like before.
To wrap it up, these new Mac models had changed the Mac lineup, and the new iPad Pro has beaten from 93% of its PC rivals. The iPad Pro now has a one Terabyte option for storage, and more possibilities to connect to many peripheral devices. Even the new iPad Pro can charge an iPhone with its usb c port!
