As of yesterday, Apple has announced that the suite of Office 365 apps by Microsoft is now live at the Mac App Store. It’ll make it more easier to install Microsoft Office apps on your Mac, and allowing users to pay and renew their Office 365 subscription in the app.

In addition, Apple wrote in their Announcement  that with these Office 365 apps being optimized for the Mac, it can also open up to more features and to a more easier interface. Phil Schiller, SVP of Apple, says that “Apple has collaborated with Microsoft to create great apps for greater productivity per its criterion. By now, with Office 365 on the App Store, it’s easier than the past to get the latest and best version of Office 365 for Mac, iPad and iPhone.” This is significant because it takes time for Apple to collaborate with other companies to create seamless and innovative products, including applications for every Mac and iPhone user. Especially with the newest Mac users today, it’s a big necessity to optimize Mac apps that people use everyday, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and more.

At least, this is one of the most significant things Apple did to the Mac apps. What do you guys think about this? Should Apple collaborate with more people to create better Mac apps?
